I thought it would because the engine is in the back and the trans is hevy. I would have to mod the trans but its posible that i could do it. that trans is rock hard and shouldent blow in high stress situations but i'm not sure about how to mess with the trans yet and the engine doesnt realy stick out behind the tires much but it doesnt have the grond clearance i would like . how far back would a normal pulling gt go. Thanks: rustyrideon68

I wouldnt be bothered by engine location, on this one but the matter of weight, because it is in the rear there seems to be no need for wheel weights, or fluid, but a need for a large amount in the front, if you could make a bracket, and buy suit case weights or fill somthing with lead, steel, or iron, that would make a great puller Very Happy

i wouldnt be worried about the engine either. i think it would make a great puller since there will be the trans otor and driver wheight all over the drive axle. for ground clearence you can get more meaty tires as big as you can go to raise it up or rebuild to drop the tranny down a little bit.

I would go with a little bigger tires, a wheelie bar, and front weight (alot).

thanks i thought it might work out. ok new question do you have to gear your trans faster for pulling or keep it the same?

i would think you want more torque when a trucks rear end is made for towing it gets more torque than speed. i would do some trial runs at your house pulling a car or something to see what it can do and go from there speed might just dig you in from spinning the tires to much tourque would gve you that long stretch of pulling that you would need

4 mph is slow but it depends with the torque if you boost up the mph with redoing the gearing you will get higher mph and tourque the only problem is if its to high of a mph you might dig yourself in on takeoff
